The user attaches the Dexcom G7 sensor to their body. This all-in-one sensor and transmitter unit is applied to the skin, typically on the abdomen. It’s designed for easy and pain-free application and begins reading glucose levels immediately.

Continuous Monitoring
Once applied, the sensor measures glucose levels in the interstitial fluid beneath the skin every few minutes. The Dexcom G7 offers the fastest warm-up time of any CGM on the market, providing real-time glucose readings to a compatible smart device or Dexcom receiver in as little as 30 minutes after application.

Real-Time Updates and Alerts

How long does the Dexcom G7 sensor last?
